Tiger Bowls 2018

March 16th, 2018

Brighton’s fourth team at the tiger bowls tournment in Hong Kong and China has been a great social success. Five members of Brighton were joined by Larry and Rose from Cowell and Denese from Munno Para to make up fours in both the women’s and men’s competitions.

As usual we had some problems coping with the 9 second greens which were described by the winning England ladies as ‘ better than we play on at home’. However at the end of the competition we proudly agreed that ll of us had put at least one bowl in the ditch].

The competition was hot – many bowlers having played in Adelaide for the 2012 worlds.

We made lots of new friends and had a great time

Mens Country Carnival Success

February 8th, 2018

A big thank you to the many helpers who made those attending the carnival at Brighton an event they will remember. From the cooks to the umpires, the bar people, the markers – all of you a very big thanks.

We received many positive comments regarding our greens and no wonder they are probably the best in the stateĀ at the moment.

Thanks
